  • Henry Handguard Installation
Installation: Henry Handguard Removing the factory forearm and installing the Corax Henry handguard is best accomplished by an experienced gunsmith. It requires the magazine tenon to be removed. If done improperly or carelessly serious damage will occur to your Henry rifle. Corax Gunworks is not responsible for any damage to your rifle or to our products caused by installation error. Proceed at your own risk. 1) Once you’ve removed the factory forearm, reinstall the forearm tenon, magazine tube and magazine tenon. From now on you may remove the Corax handguard at any time. No gunsmithing required. 2) Install any Surefire Scout compatible mounts in the forward light mounts. They are not accessible when the handguard is installed. 3) Started at the end of the magazine tube slide the Corax handguard down over the magazine tube. 4) Once the rear retaining tabs are in contact with the receiver gently massage them into place while applying a slight rearward pressure. DO NOT USE FORCE. You are aligning the rear locking tabs on 3 sides with the receiver. Gently squeeze and massage until the tabs slide into place. If it takes force, you do not have the tabs aligned. 5) Install the two supplied titanium handguard screws. Tighten snug to a maximum 35inch lbs. Over tightening these screws will damage your Corax handguard and is not covered by warranty. 6) You’re done! Add accessories as desired.
  • Are your parts 3D printed?
Yes! But not on your typical 3D printer. These are printed on industrial Multi-Jet Fusion printers. These printers are unique in that they create an isotropic bond in material. It's uniform and maintains the full material strength in every direction. We use an incredibly light and strong Nylon material for our parts. Printing gives us almost complete freedom of design you can't get with traditional manufacturing methods. We can place material precisely where it's need for maximum strength, and remove it where it's not needed to save weight. They will be stronger and lighter than the typical OEM molded furniture.
  • Where are Corax Gunworks parts made?
All of our parts are designed, made, and assembled in the USA.
  • How do your parts feel compared to molded parts?
The short answer is our parts just plain feel good in the hand. One of the many advantages to our manufacturing method is we can manipulate the surface texture to meet our design criteria. We experimented with many versions of the surface texture and ended up with an absolutely outstanding result. It's subtle enough that it wont effect the appearance of any coating you choose to apply such as Cerakote. Yet it still provides an outstanding grip in any weather conditions. One of the nicer perks? The parts are non-conductive, they won't suck the heat out your hands all day on a cold stand.
